The City of Houston Solid Waste Department has updated its heavy trash collection schedule for eligible homes receiving City curbside service. Heavy trash collection now occurs every other month. 

Junk Waste and Tree Waste may be placed at the curb (not in the street) during the even-numbered months of the year. Collection is scheduled for the second Monday of each even-numbered month. 

Please place items at the curb between 6:00 p.m. on the Friday before collection and 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Placing items out earlier than the designated timeframe may create a neighborhood nuisance and could result in code enforcement concerns.

Please note that each homeowner is responsible for any heavy trash left at the curb if it is not collected by the City of Houston. Residents should promptly remove any uncollected items to help keep our community clean and attractive.
